Support Website Release Notes for January 2022

Intended Audience

This article is intended for audiences who use support.hitachivantara.com.

Issues Resolved in this Release 

  • Display Most Recent Cases on Product Details Page
    • Under Related Cases on the Product Details page, the most recent Cases for that asset should be showing
  • Alphabetize "Select a Product" List in Firefox
    • When the user does not know the asset details during Case creation, clicking on "Can't find my product?" brings up a drop down list of Marketing Names in alphabetical order to select from

Enhancements Included in this Release 

  • Pre-Login Scroll Minimization
    • Move Login/Registration component from center of screen to buttons in header
    • Remove large low traffic components from the center section to eliminate extra scroll
  • Simplify Registration Workflow
    • Customers no longer need to go through the Company Selection page. They are instead prompted to enter the Serial Number and select a Marketing Name for a product at their site.
    • Partners are still be able to go through their normal registration workflow by selecting the link for Partner Registration at the top of the product verification popup. 
    • Registered Users and Non-Entitled Customers are prompted to complete registration when they navigate to the Support Connect home page in an effort to help them gain full access to the site.
    • Access to other sites including Community, Learning Center... will not be negatively affected by these updates

  • Breadcrumb Trail
    • Add breadcrumb trail in the header throughout the Support Website to aid in navigation
