Objective
Collect dump data for problem determination for the Global Support Center.
Environment
- VSP G130 G/F350 G/F370 G/F700 G/F900
- VSP E Series
- VSP Block One Series
- No SVP or SVP2
- Storage Advisor Embedded (HSAE)
- Maintenance Utility
Procedure
- Launch the Maintenance Utility
TIP: If the Maintenance Utility for a controller is not responding, collect the System Dump from the alternate controller. - In the Maintenance Utility, navigate to the menu, select System Management, and then choose Download System Dump.
- The default dump type for Global Support Analysis is System Dump.
- The default dump type for Global Support Analysis is System Dump.
- Select OK in the confirmation window
- Choose a location to save the dump file. The file name to save is
hdcp_dump.dmp
. - Wait several minutes until a message confirms the dump has completed downloading.
- Recommended: rename the file to include the date and serial number
