Expedite the troubleshooting process for the most common issues by reviewing and answering the following questions for your product.
General Troubleshooting Questions
- Please describe the issue in detail, screenshot of error would be helpful.
- Time of the issue? Were Logs collected right after the issue?
- What is the ESXi host version?
- If storage related, What is the Array model and serial number?
- How many hosts in DRS cluster?
- How many Datastores configured for the cluster/host in question?
- Is VAAI enabled? (Host Mode Option 54, ad 63 enabled in Array for the hostgroups?)
- Were there any changes made to the environment? (Software updates, hardware failures, zoning updates, HBA driver updates, etc.)
- Is the issue multipathing related? What version of HDLM? “dlmgetras” logs collected?
- How is this problem affecting you? (loss of access to disk, impacted applications, etc.)
