Instructions for installation are available within the "Monitor2" directory.  However, ensure JRE 8.0+ is installed otherwise a handshake error similar to below could occur:

  • (details = Received fatal alert: handshake_failure) [MSG ID = 8011].

The documentation link below also provides details on installing and using the Monitor2 tool:

  • To collect all export  performance data available. From the windows command line execute
runWin export data -ip xx.xx.xx.xx -login username password

where -ip is the IP address of the storage controller

-login is the username and password of the storage

Please use the files in the "log" subdirectory to monitor progress and any errors.

It is best practice to create an exclusive user for running export to ensure it does not get interrupted by other login activity.

The command above will collect and zip up all performance data available within the storage and into an "out" directory of the Monitor2 program.

The whole process will take at least 3 hours depends on the storage configuration

Below are some useful command on usage.

Use help command for full syntax:

runWin.bat help

Use the "show range" to display available data.

runWin.bat show range -ip x.x.x.x -login username password
