How to Download Logs on DS120 DS220 DS225 DS240

Objective

How to collect logs from the Hitachi Advanced Server DS120, DS220, and DS240.

Environment

  • DS120
  • DS220
  • DS225
  • DS240

Procedure

  1. Enter the IP address for the BMC of the server into a Web Browser. 
    • The default BMC IP address is 192.168.0.120. 
    • The default username/password is: admin/cmb9.admin
  2. Click on Logs and Reports then IPMI Event Log
  3. Make sure to select the "Text File type" radio button.
  4. Click on Download Event Logs
  5. The server logs SEL_TEXT.txt to your local system.
  6. Upload to TUF  using the appropriate case number.
