SVP overview
The Service Processor (SVP) provides out‑of‑band configuration and management of the storage system, and collects performance data for key components to enable diagnostic testing and analysis.
The SVP is available as a physical (bare-metal) 1U management server or as a 64-bit software application supplied by Hitachi Vantara. The physical SVP server and the SVP software applications are supported in the environments shown in the following tables.
