Overview

Custom Dashboards is a separately licensed feature of Hitachi Visualization Suite (HVS). When a purchase order is received, you can request either a trial or production license. This article describes both types of Custom Dashboards licenses and how to request them for your customer.

Trial licenses

Trial licenses are available for POC purposes only. Always request a trial license until you have a customer’s approval for the implementation. Trial licenses are good for 45 to 60 days from the day the license is delivered or from a specified start date. Additional trial licenses may be requested until the customer approves the implementation.

To request an on-premise trial license

Send an email to mailto:Pentaho.orders@hitachivantara.com for a trial license with the following information:

  • Customer name
  • Justification (examples: individual exploration or specific customer POC)
  • Customer address
  • License term (Min 45 days/Max 60 days)
  • Start date (if not immediate)
  • Email address where you want the license information sent to

A trial license will be provided in 1 to 2 business days.

To request a SAS trial system

Submit a request to the HVS Sustaining Team with the following information:

  • Customer name
  • System space - staging or production
  • Domain name
  • Justification (examples: individual exploration or specific customer POC)
  • License term (Min 45 days/Max 60 days)

A trial system will be created within a week, and the requestor will receive an email response from Support with information about how to access the Pentaho instance.

Production licenses

Based on the Hitachi Vantara revenue recognition policy, you must have a customer's approval to implement the Custom Reports feature before requesting a production license. When a production license is requested, it triggers a billing event.

To request a production license:

Send an email to mailto:Pentaho.orders@hitachivantara.com for a production license with the following information:

  • Customer name
  • Hitachi Vantara Oracle OE#
  • PO#
  • Customer approval date, if known
