File system-based connector actions can be used to overwrite the timestamp of the crawled documents. When time metadata is added, it contains all matching timestamps from the original documents and the modification timestamp. The copy of the document is performed by the HCI Write action, which leverages the HCP Anywhere (System-wide) whitelist from the connector's filter stage to read the data.
Which metadata can be overwritten is entirely dependent upon your file system connector:
- For CIFS connectors, Access Time, Change Time, Creation Time, and Modification Time are available.NoteThe timestamp changes to the same timestamp as the Creation Time and Access Time after the document has been copied from the HCP Anywhere connector by the CIFS connector.
- For LFS connectors, Access Time, Creation Time and Modification Time are available.
- For HDFS connectors, Access Time and Modification Time are available.
To overwrite your timestamps with the most currently crawled data:
Click the Data Connections window.
Click Add Data Connection.
In the Type field, select the type of connection you want to create (CIFS, LFS, or HDFS).
Configure the connector.
Enable the Process All Documents setting.
