Syslog signal - HCP S
When you enable the Gather Syslog Metrics signal for a source, HCM collects logs that HCP S publishes through syslog. HCM uses these logs to gather information about HCP S system events and HTTP requests.
To enable syslog on your HCP S system, refer to your HCP S documentation.
If the HCM system is configured to monitor syslog signals from an HCP S system, and that HCP S system that is being monitored is configured to use the management network, then the physical IP addresses of the management network must be included in the syslog configuration of the signal source within the HCM system for that HCP S system.
Additionally, if the HCP S system was originally not using the management network but is changed to use the management network, any signal source within the HCM system configured to monitor that HCP S system using syslog will stop working unless the signal source syslog config is updated to include the physical IP addresses of the system's HCP S management network.
