At any time, you can test a data connection to check whether your system can access the data source that the connection points to.
If your system doesn't already have the SSL certificate for a data source, it retrieves it during the test and prompts you to accept it.
- When you test a data connection, your system does not check that the user account for the data connection has permissions to perform any actions that the data connection may support.
- When you test an HCP MQE data connection, if you specified a list of directories, your system does not check whether those directories exist. See HCP MQE (Hitachi Content Platform Metadata Query Engine) data connection.
Click the Data Connections window.
Click on the data connection you want to test.
