Content Monitor
Hitachi Content Monitor (HCM) lets you monitor the performance, activity, and health of your Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) systems. When you add your HCP systems as sources, HCM gathers data from them and uses that data to make charts and graphs called visualizations. You can use these visualizations to view historical HCP data collected over a period of time, or even monitor your HCP in real time.
Dashboards group together multiple visualizations on a single page. You can create your own custom dashboards or use the ones that HCM creates for you.

- Adding HCP sources
- To monitor an HCP system, you need to add it as a source to HCM and select the signals you're interested in. Each signal gives different information about the source and needs to be configured separately on the source.
- Adding HCP S sources
- To monitor an HCP S system, you need to add it as a source to HCM and select the signals you're interested in. Each signal gives different information about the source and needs to be configured separately on the source.
- Adding HCP for Cloud Scale sources (Preview Mode)
- To monitor an HCP for Cloud Scale system, you need to add it as a source in HCM. HCM then leverages a Prometheus connector to gather the metrics from the system. It is the only signal availabe for this source and is selected by default when it is created.
- Dashboards and visualizations
- Dashboards display combinations of visualizations. You can either create your own dashboard or choose from a selection of premade dashboards.
- Monitors and senders
- You can create monitors to notify you when certain conditions are met. For example, you can set up a monitor to notify you if the average HCP latency grows too high.
- Analytics
- When you create a new source in HCM, you can enable Anomaly Detection and Forecasting.
- Sharing components
- You can download all components you create in HCM as JSON-containing .bundle files. You can save these files to back up your HCMcomponents or share them between multiple HCM systems.
