How to Collect VSSB Logs from GUI

Objective

Collecting VSSB Logs from GUI

Environment

  • Virtual Storage Software Block (VSSB)
    • v1.10 or later

Procedure

Software Logs

  1. Download the created dump log file in the tab "Auto Collection".
    • Downloading VSSB Dump Log Files (Follow instructions for Auto Collection)
  2. In the "Base" tab, create and download a dump log file.

  3. This is Optional, Create and download a dump log file in the "Monitor" tab. Perform this procedure only when instructed to do so in the manual or by customer support.

  4. Upload Data to TUF
    • Upload Files less than 2GB
    • Upload Files up to 4GB using SFTP
    • Upload Files 2GB or larger
  5. Delete Old VSSB Logs
    • VSSB Dump Log Files

Caution:

  • Do not pause the download on your web browser. If you pause the download of multiple dump log files, the controller node on which the GUI is used consumes more memory than usual, and the download might fail.
  • Do not close your browser while downloading dump log files. If you close the browser during the download, delete the dump log files already downloaded, and then retry the download.
  • While downloading dump log files, do not download dump log files from other tabs or windows simultaneously.
  • Delete the dump log files that have been downloaded.
  • The GUI cannot be used to collect dump log files whose STATUS is "Unavailable". If you want to collect such files, perform the operation by using ticket authentication from a REST API or CLI.
