Upgrades to major Windows versions (i.e. Win 7 to Win 10) are not included in maintenance. Optional upgrade kits are offered for sale to customers who require it. |
1 Minor OS updates are security updates and other patches relevant to the integrity of the customer environment.
OVF/OVA Support
OVF (Open Virtual Format) is an open standard used to package and distribute virtual appliances or VMs. An Open Virtual Appliance (OVA) is an OVF package in a single file archive with the .ova extension.
Hitachi may optionally distribute software as pre-configured VM .ova (Open Virtual Appliance) packages. Hitachi is not responsible for maintaining or supporting the underlying operating system unless OS support is purchased from Hitachi. If OS support is not purchased from Hitachi, customers must purchase OS support from the OS vendor directly.
