Format

dlmpr {-c| -d| -h }

Description

The dlmpr utility clears a persistent reservation left in an LU after HDLM is uninstalled. However, a persistent reservation is not left in an LU when you uninstall HDLM as instructed by the procedure in the manual. This utility is located here:

drive-where-installation-CD-ROM-is-being-inserted:\DLMTools\dlmpr.exe

Caution: If a persistent reservation is left in the LU, MSCS will not start.

Parameters

-c

Displays a list of the paths for LUs managed by HDLM and persistent reservation information. When you specify the path ID, the persistent reservation for the path is cleared.

-d

-h
Displays the help of this utility.

None
Displays the overview of this utility.

Notes

This utility must be executed from the Windows server where HDLM was un-installed, which left the LU(s) with Persistent Reserve still in force.

If this utility is executed in a Windows server that has HDLM installed and running, the following message will be displayed:

KAPL10669-W The utility for clearing HDLM persistent reservation (dlmpr) cannot be executed because HDLM is installed.
