How to Setup WWN Monitoring for Performance Monitor and Export Tool
Objective
To setup the storage Performance Monitor so that IO & Transfer rates and response times can be broken down by HBA WWN.

Procedure
- In Analytics, Performance Monitor use the Monitored WWN window to add the Unmonitored WWN to the Monitored list for each port.

- It is VERY IMPORTANT to edit the WWN nicknames to make it possible for easy identification of the HBA.
- Instructions are within the same section as the WWN Monitor details linked above.
- For example good informative nicknames would be:
serverA-hba0-fabricE
serverA-hba1-fabricO
serverB-hba1-fabricE
serverB-hba2-fabricO
etc...
- From the point in time onwards that monitoring is setup the export data should now contain a breakdown of the WWN usage.
- You may have to change the export tool command.txt script to collect WWN details (See additional notes below).
Additional Notes
- Also note the export command scripts must include these stanzas to collect the WWN usage details:
