Videowalls

About Videowalls

Videowalls allow you to monitor up to 64 camera feeds in one view. Once videowalls are saved you can toggle between sets of video feeds with a click, or monitor several videowalls at a time with multiple monitors.

The Video menu consists of the following features:

  1. VIDEOWALLS: Lists previously saved videowalls. Select New videowall to add a new videowall.
  2. CAMERAS: List cameras from the search result.
  3. New Videowall: Displays the videowall name. Click on the pencil icon to edit the name.
  4. Change layout: Provides the following list of the wall layout options.
    • 2 x 2
    • 3 x 3
    • 4 x 4
    • 8 x 8 (not enabled by default)
    • 1 big, 12 small
    • 2 big, 8 small
    • 3 big, 4 small
       
       

      Note: The 8 x 8 layout is optional with special hardware requirements. See Administering Domains for more information.

  5. Videowall: Displays a custom selection of cameras in the selected layout view.

Create a New Videowall

To create a videowall, follow these steps:

  1. Select Video from the main menu.
  2. Click New videowall under VIDEOWALLS.
  3. Enter a name for the videowall by clicking on the pencil icon next to the label New Videowall. Be sure to click the checkmark to confirm the new name.

  4. Save the videowall by clicking Save videowall in the upper right corner of the wall.
  5. Add cameras: 

    a. Select the videowall you just created under VIDEOWALLS.

    b. Click CAMERAS and search a camera by name to add a camera to the videowall.

    c. Drag and drop the cameras from the camera list to the videowall.

    Tip: You can also add cameras to an existing videowall. Select a camera on the map and click the videowall icon at the bottom of the camera detail panel.

  6. Select the layout using the Change layout list.
  7. Save the changes by clicking Update videowall in the upper right corner of the wall.
